Joyful Noise Christian Early Learning Centre believes that children are created and valued by God. The teachers will strive to enrich the whole child, mind, body, and soul. We believe that each child should be taught and evaluated on an individual basis and that he/she should be given the opportunities to learn using different manipulatives and hands on activities. Children should be challenged and feel successful so that they can grow socially, intellectually, creatively, and emotionally. Teachers will be sensitive to each child's different learning styles and will teach according to individual needs
A joyful place to learn, grow, and belong
Joyful Noise Preschool was founded in 2009 by Mindy Pierson with a vision to create a nurturing and joyful environment where young children could begin their learning journey. Over the years, the preschool became a valued part of the community as it continued to grow and serve families.
In the summer of 2013, leadership of the preschool was passed on to Triny Davidson, who shared the same passion for early childhood education and community. At that time, the name was updated to Joyful Noise Christian Preschool to clearly reflect the program’s foundation in Christian values and principles.
As Joyful Noise continues to grow, Nhaye Leon has joined the leadership team and will be co-managing the program alongside Triny Davidson. Nhaye brings new ideas, creativity, and fresh input to the program while continuing to build on the strong foundation that Joyful Noise has established over the years.
Their shared vision is to continue strengthening the program, enriching the learning experience for children, and supporting families in our community.
In 2026, our program plans to expand and become Joyful Noise Christian Early Learning Centre.
We are planning to operate under a daycare license, while maintaining the structure, philosophy, and quality of a preschool program. This allows us to continue offering a play-based, engaging learning environment while also providing extended hours options.
At Joyful Noise Christian Early Learning Centre, children experience a balanced day filled with:
• Play-based learning
• Creative activities and crafts
• Music, stories, and circle time
• Social development and friendships
• Fun extracurricular activities
• Christian values integrated into daily learning
Our goal is to help children develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning in a safe and supportive environment.
We understand that many families need additional flexibility. Our extended hours allow parents to have more convenient extended hours options, while children continue to enjoy a structured preschool-style program filled with learning and fun.
To provide a loving, faith-based early learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Joyful Noise Christian Early Learning is more than a preschool — it is a community where children are valued, families are supported, and learning is joyful.
Triny was certified as a teacher in 1989 in Honduras and shortly thereafter founded a Christian bilingual school in the mountain city of Honduras with the help of a Texan expat. For 17 years, Triny managed the academics of a school that started off in a couple rooms and grew to its own campus on the edge of town with 20 teachers and over 250 students ranging from pre-school through high school. During that time, she helped out at a school for village kids and then later taught English at night at a secondary school for students that had to work during the day and study at night. In 2004 she married a Canadian expat and six years later their little family moved to Cochrane. First her little boy went through Joyful Noise and 2 years later her little girl followed suit. After a three-year hiatus from education, Triny is excited by the opportunity to be back in her passion of developing little people into bright minds. Triny obtained her Level 3 Certification (now known as Child Development Supervisor), the highest level of certification for childcare workers issued by Alberta Human Services.
Rachel Braun is the lead teacher with Joyful Noise. Rachel has been active on the parent council with one of Cochrane's schools and brings her experience from working in Calgary pre-schools along with fantastic energy to Joyful Noise. Like Triny, Rachel is the mother of two children and knows first-hand the grind parents go through to raise up happy well adjusted young members of society. Rachel is certified in Early Childhood Education.
